A trip for families or couples that combines hiking in Corsica with swimming for a nature vacation. From the Gulf of Porto to the Aïtone forest, discover some of Corsica's most beautiful sites. On the program: a boat trip to the sublime Scandola nature reserve, swimming in the crystal-clear creeks of the Gulf of Girolata or in the natural pools of the Spelunca gorges. Easy hiking trails along the coast or in the shade of chestnut trees to discover authentic villages where the local gastronomy is in the spotlight... A trip to Corsica that promises to immerse young and old alike!

Your self-guided tour begins in Piana, a pretty village just north of Ajaccio, classified as one of France's most beautiful villages.

The calanches of Piana
6 to 9 km with 450 to 600 m altitude change - Estimated time :2h30 to 3h30
Today, we invite you to discover the magnificent calanques (calanche in Corsica) of Piana, with their ochre cliffs plunging into the sea. You can choose between two easy itineraries: one down to the pretty beach in the Ficaghjola cove, or a second hike around the calanques, offering magical views.

Visit to the Scandola reserve and the village of Girolata
Depart by boat to discover the Scandola marine and terrestrial nature reserve, home to exceptional biodiversity: it's not uncommon to come across dolphins, whales or fish eagles... The tour ends on land with a visit to the fishing village of Girolata, before setting off on a 5 km hike (360 m ascent, duration approx. 3h30).
You'll follow the "Guy le facteur" coastal path to Tuara beach before heading back up to the Col de la Croix, where your cab will be waiting for you for the next stage of your stay: Ota, a charming village perched on a mountainside.
Dinner and overnight in Ota in a B&B (double rooms or apartment for families).

The Spelunca gorges
7 km with 620 m altitude change - Estimated time : 3h00
This day will take you on a centuries-old itinerary, the Mare a Mare, a true testament to the mule-tracking networks that have spanned the centuries... Genoese bridges follow one another on either side of the river to the magnificent Spelunca Gorge. It's a contemplative hike, with the promise of swimming in natural pools!

Discover the Aïtone forest
13 km with 450 m altitude change - Estimated time : 4h30.
For this last walk, you'll take the educational chestnut trail that winds through the majestic Aïtone forest and its river with its many waterfalls and natural pools.
