Cycling tours Canal du Midi

The Canal du Midi is one of the great cycling itineraries of choice. From the famous medieval city of Carcassonne to Sète, on the Mediterranean coast, the cycling route follows the towpath dotted with remarkable engineering structures. Approximately 160 kilometers of the Canal du Midi is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The cycle paths pass through authentic villages steeped in history, against a backdrop of pastoral landscapes. The haunting movement of the barges and the gentle lapping of the water set the tempo for the journey.
